The Army Sevens team went to the Bournemouth Festival for their third outing of the Sevens circuit this season. ‘Bournemouth’ has developed as much much more than just a 7s festival. This year thousands flocked to the ‘after rugby events’ with a huge selection of bands and DJ’s playing pulsating music well into the very early hours.
The Army who had come away from their last competition at Bury St Edmonds beating England and France Development to win the competition just fell short at the 2017 Bournemouth Event losing out to a very competitive French Invitational Team ‘Seventise’. The REDs had defeated many of the Teams they know well from the Sevens circuit, Apache were defeated in the semi-final, before they came face to face with the visitors from across the Channel.
Move on and regroup, we now go to Maidenhead Rugby Club for ‘round two’ of the IPro Sports GB 7s Super Series, our league sees the Team up against Esher Rugby and Mauraders, both 7s specialists. All the action starts at 1000hrs and should be another cracking day of high quality sevens. For more images please visit – armyrugbyimages.com
