ARMY RUGBY AT THE HEIGHTS

CHRIS BUDGEN THE DADDY OF THEM ALL

Sunday morning’s newspapers made good reading for Army rugby and players at the Premiership level.

Samesa Rokoduguni ‘winged-it’ for Bath. Chris Budgen, just SIX DAYS AFTER his 40th birthday generated the front row power for Exeter Chiefs. In Wales Matthew Dwyer hooked for the Ospreys and prop Rickie Reeves featured on Sky for Bedford Blues.

Budgie’s amazing ‘40 year’ feat made him the most ‘experienced’ player of all time to play in the English Premiership and who would bet on that record ever being broken. During his time playing Premiership rugby at Northampton Saints and Exeter Chiefs he amassed a total of 32 Army caps, never missed an Army match at Twickenham and has become something of a ‘crowd pleaser’ for his signature head down bullocking runs. Chance to catch up with Budgie and the Army Reds v Navy at Twickenham on Sat 27th April—BE THERE !!!
