Sgt Carl Adams (PARA), Head Coach to the Army Masters team, along with the squad’s coaching and management staff are pleased to announce the selection of the following players for the 2025 Inter Service Championship.

This announcement follows a highly competitive selection process, with a total of 70 talented players evaluated throughout the season, showcasing exceptional skill and dedication.

The selected playing squad embodies the spirit and tenacity of the Army Rugby Union. Each player has earned their position through outstanding performances and unwavering commitment.

2024-2025 Season Fixtures and Results

The Army Rugby Union Masters team showcased their prowess and determination across various matches this season. Here are the fixtures and results:

  • Lost v Pacific Islanders: 12-37
  • Won v Rugby for Heroes: 41-7
  • Won v HM Prison Service: 43-19
  • Lost v English Fire Service: 43-50
  • Won v CS Barbarians: 16-7
  • Won v English Fire Service: 75-12

Maj Rob Mitchell, the Director of Rugby, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming Inter Service matches: “Inter-services rugby is unique; success rests on two matches against motivated and committed opposition from the Mariners and the Vultures. Our selected squad blends tested IS capped players and the freshness of new talent. I am genuinely excited to see how we perform. We know that both sides will present different challenges, but the depth of players we possess will meet that challenge head on.”

Looking Forward to 2025 Inter Service Matches

The Army Rugby Union Masters team is gearing up for the much anticipated 2025 Inter Service matches. The fixtures are set to be thrilling encounters against traditional rivals:

  • Royal Navy at Richmond Athletic Ground on Friday, 2nd May, 1800hrs
  • Royal Air Force at Kingsholm Stadium, Gloucester on Friday, 16th May, 1900hrs
