Army Rugby Union are pleased to announce the signing of two promising rugby talents, Tpr Levi Roper (QDG) and LCpl Kody Vereti (REME), with Nottingham Rugby for the upcoming 2024/25 Championship season. Both players bring a wealth of skill, experience, and the disciplined approach cultivated through their service with the British Army Rugby Union.

Trooper Levi Roper is a product of the ARU’s Academy pathway, captaining the Army U23s to Inter Service success in November 2021 before some time away from the game due to injury.  He made his senior debut v the French Army in Pau, France earlier this year, contributing to a first victory v the Armee de Terre on French soil in 10 years.

Lance Corporal Kody Vereti was born and raised in Fiji, joined the British Army in 2017.  He made his senior debut against the French Army in Aldershot in 2023 and has featured in two Inter Service campaigns to date.

Both Roper and Vereti have excelled in the competitive environment of Army Rugby, where they have honed their skills against top-tier opponents. Their commitment, discipline, and teamwork, fostered through their military careers, will undoubtedly contribute to Nottingham Rugby’s pursuit of success in the RFU Championship this season.

Nottingham Rugby Head Coach, Craig Hammond commented, ‘Kody and Levi have impressed everyone during their time here so far. They’re both exciting players and add real quality to the side.’

As Nottingham Rugby continues to build a strong and competitive squad for the 2024/25 season, the addition of Roper and Vereti underscores the club’s commitment to excellence and its ambition to compete at the highest levels of the RFU Championship.
