Captain Gareth Slade-Jones (RAPTC), Head Coach to the Army U23s team, along with the squad’s coaching and management staff are pleased to announce the selection of the following players for the 2024 Inter Service Championship.
Competition for selection was extremely fierce, many congratulations to all those selected.
The details for Army U23s 2024 Inter Service matches are as follows;
Wednesday 20th November 2024 – Royal Air Force U23s v Army U23s – Witney RFC – KO 1900hrs
Wednesday 27th November 2024 – Army U23s v Royal Navy U23s – Aldershot – KO 1900hrs
Director of Rugby, Major Sam Richardson (AGC) commented;
“We are pleased to announce this years Army U23 Inter Service squad, a group that has been selected after more than 200 soldiers put themselves forward. The squad contains some exciting talent, with plenty of Academy experience from across Great Britain and two age group internationals adding to a nucleus who have fond memories of last year. Preparation has been tough, with more challenging fixtures in comparison to last season against various National League clubs and Universities away from home. The win against Cardiff Met University over Remembrance weekend at Cardiff Arms Park will do much for the groups confidence ahead of our first fixture. We are looking forward to the challenge of the Inter Service competition.”
