The Premier 15s reaches the final round of league matches this weekend and there is Army representation in the games which have the most riding on them.

The chase is on for second place between Harlequins and Wasps, and the all-important home semi-final which comes with it.

Harlequins travel to DMP Durham Sharks to try and capitalise on their existing two-point advantage over Wasps, and there are three Army players in the 23-strong match day squad.

Bdr Bethan Dainton (Royal Artillery) is back from international duty with Wales and is named on the bench, along with Capt Alexandra Eddie (QARANC) and SSgt Jade Mullen (AGC (SPS)).

Harlequins are unbeaten in their last six matches, winning five and drawing the other, making them one of the form teams in the competition.

DMP Durham Sharks are in 10th in the table, but they got their only win of the season last time out, and know that Harlequins will represent a massive scalp going into the off season.

In the event that Harlequins slip up then Wasps will be looking to capitalise, hosting Bristol Bears at Twyford Avenue.

There are players on both sides in this match, with SSgt Sarah Mitchelson (RLC) on the Wasps bench and Capt Gemma Rowland (Royal Artillery) starting in the centres for the Bears on her return from the Six Nations.

Wasps have also won five of their last six, including an eye-catching win over Saracens, and have scored four or more tries in their last five outings, so they will be confident of a good performance against a Bristol outfit which has had a challenging time since mid-February.

There is another shirt being filled by an Army representative at Twyford Avenue, Capt Nikki O’Donnell (QARANC) appointed as the referee.

The RFU is giving full coverage to the final round, with a full match live stream of Wasps v Bristol and reporters at the remaining four games.

Kick off across the country is at 2:00pm.
