The traditional opener to the ARU 15s season, the Corps Festival returned to kick off the 2021-22 season in style and everyone was raring to go having had such a long but understandable pause from the game we all love due to the suspension of sport over the past 18 months.

An action packed day was enjoyed by all participating teams with the Men’s teams playing in a newly re-structured 3 League format and the five Women’s teams playing in a round robin 7s competition.  The pool stages matches took place over the first half of the day and the newly restructured League format for the men saw some closely scored games.

A break for lunch allowed the teams some well earned R&R and the competition organisers a chance to work out the maths to decide the afternoons finalists which were with the following results;

Women’s 7s Finals – AGC v RA – Winners AGC 24-0

Men’s League 3 Final – Int Corps v AGC – Winners Int Corps 14-0

Men’s League 2 Final – Infantry A v RAC – Winners Infantry A 29-0

Men’s League 1 Final – RLC v RA – Winners RLC 15-14
