Army Rugby Union Corps rugby will commence the 2024-25 season with the Corps Festival, which will take place on Wed 11 Sep 24 at Newbury RFC, postcode RG14 7RW.
The festival will consist of an Inter Corps Men’s competition (15-a-side), a Women’s competition (10-a-side) and Masters competition (15-a-side).
The aim of the festival is to allow Corps teams to have an initial run out prior to the Inter Corps League Competition, which starts with the first round of fixtures on Wed 25 Sep 24. To support maximum player participation, squad sizes can be increased: the Men’s and Masters competitions will permit Corps squads of 30 players; the Women’s competition will permit squads of 20 players.
The Men’s Corps festival will reflect the Inter Corps League structure, which, following the success of last season, will continue with three leagues of four teams, Women’s league and Masters league. Teams will play 3 league matches (Women’s 4), and the top two sides will contest a final. There will be 3 Men’s finals, 1 Women’s final, and 1 Master’s final – contested by the top two sides in each league.
