The final of the International Defence Rugby Competition took place yesterday morning UK time after a slight delay due to the adverse weather conditions taking its toll on the pitch’s posts the match was moved to an alternative venue just a short distance away.

The Men’s UKAF team faced reigning IDRC Champions the Republic of Fiji Military Force to decide who would take the trophy home from the 2019 competition.  Despite the adverse weather conditions from Typhoon Tapah both teams played attacking rugby however it was the power and sublimity of the Fijian side that prevailed to retain the title as worthy Champions, many congratulations to them.

UKAF can be proud of their achievements throughout the competition, the players and management have worked exceptionally hard on and off the field to achieve what they have in a short space of time.

We look forward to IDRC 2023 in France.
