What is the ARU responsible for?

The Aim of the Army Rugby Union (ARU) is to promote and foster the game of Rugby Union in the Army and its local communities in accordance with the Laws of the Game promulgated by the Rugby Football Union (RFU).

The ARU is a Registered Charity (Number 245517) and its day-to-day administration is conducted by a small secretariat based at Aldershot. There are several committees responsible for the various aspects of the management of Army Rugby.

The ARU is part of the Army Sport Control Board (ASCB). We encourage membership of the ARU under the Individual Membership Scheme (IMS).

How do I find the stadium?

The Army Rugby Stadium is on Queens Avenue in Aldershot. To get to the stadium from the A331 (Hollybush Lane), take the slip road for A3011 toward Ash Vale / Farnborough. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A3011 and then the 1st exit at the roundabout after that. Taking the 2nd exit at the next roundabout will take you onto Queens Avenue. The stadium is situated about half a mile down Queens Avenue on the left.
