Competitions

Community Rugby Competitions – Unit

The ARU runs a hierarchy of Community Rugby competitions.  At Unit level, these are:

  • Army Rugby Cup – Contested by teams within Premiership One
  • Army Rugby Shield – Contested by teams within Premiership Two
  • Army Rugby Plate – Contested by teams at the top of their respective Championship One league.
  • Army Rugby Bowl – Contested by teams within Championship One leagues.
  • Army Rugby Vase – Contested by teams at the top of their respective Championship Two league.
  • Army Rugby Tankard – Contested by teams within Championship Two leagues.
  • Army Rugby Quaich – Contested by teams at the top of their respective Championship Three leagues.

Community Rugby Competitions – Garrison

Garrison Rugby teams will play in a ‘round robin’ format with the top two sides playing for the Garrison Cup in a Cup Final.

Army Sevens Tournament

The Army Sevens Tournament is open to Regular Army units who qualify through agreed feeder events held at Divisional/Corps level.
