Gnr Senitiki Nayalo (7 Para RHA) was back in Championship action this weekend, helping Coventry extend their winning streak at home to the Cornish Pirates.
Gnr Nayalo crashed over from a lineout to score his second try of the campaign at the end of the opening quarter, helping Coventry overturn an early Cornish lead at Butts Park Arena. And while the Blue and Whites had to come back from double digit deficits in their other wins this season there was no such need against the Pirates, who did not hit the front for the remainder of the contest.
Instead the day belonged to Coventry, who had a bonus point wrapped up by the 48th minute and went on to record a 32-19 victory which moved them up to fifth place in the table.
Sgt Dan Lewis (RAMC) and his London Scottish team mates had a challenging 80 minutes against top-of-the-table Ealing Trailfinders at the Richmond Athletic Ground.
The Exiles deserve plenty of credit for the way they battled back after conceding a penalty try in the opening minute, trailing 14-26 at half-time and then 21-26 two minutes into the second half.
However, by the time that Sgt Lewis entered the action on the hour mark Ealing had scored another two tries, and by the time the full time whistle blew had completed a 57-21 win.
