There is Army interest at the top of the Premier 15s table following the latest round of matches.

Capt Alexandra Eddie (QARANC) started and Sgt Jade Mullen (AGC (SPS)) was on the bench as Harlequins maintained their first place in the league courtesy of a fifth successive bonus point win of the season.

Sale Sharks were the visitors to the Twickenham Stoop, but it was Quins who overcame both the opposition and the weather conditions to run out 31-0 winners.

The result sees Harlequins extend their points difference advantage over Saracens in the battle for top spot, as while the north Londoners overcame Wasps their margin of victory was six points compared to Quins’ 31.

However at half-time it looked as if Saracens would run away with things, leading 33-3 at Allianz Park. But by full-time they were hanging on as Wasps – who included Capt Gemma Rowland (Royal Artillery) in the centres – fought back to earn a pair of bonus points of their own from the 33-27 result.

The final game of interest from an Army perspective came in the West Country, where Capt Erica Mills (Royal Artillery) was in the Gloucester-Hartpury match day squad which earned local bragging rights over Bristol Bears thanks to a 28-3 win at Shaftesbury Park.

Gloucester-Hartpury moved up to fifth in the table with that maximum haul, hot on the heels of Wasps, who have played a game more.
