Lt Col Robbie Campbell
All at the Army Rugby Union are deeply saddened to hear the news that former Army player, Management Board member, Honorary Life Vice President and long term sponsor of Army representative and community rugby Lt Col Robbie Campbell has passed away.
Robbie served with the Royal Logistic Corps, formerly Royal Corps of Transport and earned 4 caps for the Army from 1975 – 1976 playing against the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force twice each.
After leaving the Army Robbie would often be seen on the sidelines in Aldershot, usually in his kilt, supporting the ARU representative teams and community competitions in his role with Veolia – one of our longstanding partners thanks to the relationship built and nurtured by Robbie.
Army Rugby Union extends our sincere condolences to Robbie’s widow Jo, all his family and many friends.
