Rfn Vereimi Qorowale (2 Rifles) featured for Doncaster Knights yesterday evening as they hosted Edinburgh in an Anglo-Scottish friendly.
With their scheduled English Championship game against Jersey Reds cancelled, Doncaster moved swiftly to get an alternative on, and boosted their ranks with Rfn Qorowale from Newcastle Falcons.
Verimi started at outside centre for the Castle Park showdown.
Elsewhere, Gnr Senitiki Nayalo (7 Para RHA) is back in the starting line-up for Coventry’s Championship trip to Cambridge today (2pm).
The No. 8 missed the defeat to Hartpury last time out but is back to try and help the seventh-placed side secure a third victory of the season at the winless bottom club.
LCpl Pita Ratukadreu – fresh from crossing the whitewash for REME in their Corps Championship defeat to the RLC on Wednesday – starts on the wing for National One title-chasers Plymouth Albion in their derby trip at Taunton Titans (3pm).
Spr Lauren Brooks (RE) is among the replacements for Trailfinders Women’s trip to Bristol Bears (1pm) in the Premier 15s.
