With Round 6 done and dusted the teams have been finalised for March’s Corps Championship Finals.

With a home walkover registered against the Infantry the Royal Engineers were confirmed as table toppers in League 1. They will be joined by the Royal Logistics Corps, who had a crunch clash with REME to decide who would finish in second.

This match finished at 20-all, meaning that the one-point difference at the start of the day was also a one-point difference at the end.

The Sappers go into the League 1 final seeking to retain the title they won 12 months ago, while for the RLC this will be their first final since 2019.

In League 2 the Royal Artillery are 80 minutes away from regaining their place in League 1, following a home walkover against the Army Medical Services which saw them finish the round robin with a perfect six bonus point wins from their six matches.

The chase for second place went down to the final round and the clash between the Royal Signals and Royal Armoured Corps.

The Signals went into the match with a five-point lead in the standings, and once they got a pair of penalties they did not look like giving the RAC any hope of repeating their place in the final.

Instead it was the Signals who steadily built a lead in Bovington, and turned a 13-0 half-time advantage into a 25-5 final result.

League 3’s final will be between the Army Air Corps and Adjutant General’s Corps, thanks to the AGC benefitting from the Intelligence Corps forfeiting the scheduled match between the two teams.

In the Women’s Championship the Royal Logistics Corps confirmed their place at the top of the table with a 25-0 win away to the Army Medical Services.

They will be joined by the Royal Artillery following their 49-12 victory over a combined REME / RE / R Sigs.

The Corps Championship finals will be played at Aldershot on Wednesday, March 8th. Entry is free and all are welcome.

The schedule for the day is as follows;
