There was plenty of Army Women’s Senior XV interest in the latest round of Premier 15s action, with two of our representatives enjoying winning weekends.

Capt Alexandra Eddie (QARANC) was in the Harlequins squad which maintained their perfect start to the season, while Capt Gemma Rowland (Royal Artillery) and her Wasps teammates racked up a century of points against DMP Durham Sharks.

Elsewhere Capt Erica Mills (Royal Artillery) and Gloucester-Hartpury had a tough afternoon against Saracens, who headed home from the Alpas Arena with 43-5 bonus point win.

This result made Harlequins’ own maximum haul all the more important, the Londoners overcoming a late fightback from top three challengers Loughborough Lightning to record a 33-24 final result.

Things were somewhat more straightforward for Wasps, who racked up 17 tries on the way to a 103-0 win over DMP.

It could not be tighter at the top of the table, with Harlequins and Saracens tied on 20 league points and separated by just one in the points difference column, with Quins on +150 and Saracens on +149.

Wasps remain fourth and Gloucester-Hartpury are sixth.

There may be two weeks until the Men’s Senior XV Premiership players are back in league action, but Cpl Lewis Bean (2 Rifles) could be making his debut for Glasgow this evening (Monday, November 9th) having been named on the bench for the Warriors’ Pro 14 trip to Ulster, a game you can watch on Premier Sports 1 from 7:45pm.

Cpl Bean is on a month-long loan to the Scotstoun outfit from Northampton Saints.
