Gloucester Rugby are delighted to announce that Inter Services rugby will return to Kingsholm in 2019.

The Army will host the current Inter Service Champions, The Royal Air Force, at Kingsholm on Saturday 27 April 2019. The Royal Air Force defeated both the Army and Royal Navy in this year’s Championship to receive the Babcock Championship Bowl in their 100th Anniversary year.
Full ticketing details including hospitality packages will be available from Gloucester Rugby ticketing website in due course.

Major General Will Bramble CBE, Chairman of Army Rugby Union commented:
“Bringing the Inter Service championship back to Gloucester is very exciting for both the Army and the Royal Air Force Rugby Unions.”
“The match will be exceptionally hard fought and promises to be great entertainment for the rugby enthusiast.”

Gloucester Rugby CEO Stephen Vaughan added:
“We’ve enjoyed working with the Armed Services over the past few years. They’re a big part of the community locally with Imjin Barracks located just up the road.”
“We signed up to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant some time ago and also support the Tickets for Troops initiative. We’ve also worn a unique Armed Forces shirt featuring a poppy design to mark Forces Day.”
“So, it’s our pleasure to stage the matches here at Kingsholm and we look forward to a great day of rugby and forging an even closer relationship with the Armed Forces in the future.”
