The Army Masters conducted open trials earlier this month and in order to give everyone the best opportunity to represent the Red shirt at Inter Service level, further closed trials took place in Aldershot last week.

A good weeks work on the training park culminated with two trial matches v Wooden Spoon on Saturday afternoon in Aldershot where an appreciative crowd were treated to two highly entertaining matches of rugby.  Both matches allowed the Masters players, new and returning, to put their hand up to the Management to stake a claim in the squad for the Inter Services next Spring.

Many thanks to the Wooden Spoon charity side that fielded two teams to allow the Masters vital preparation time to streamline their squad in the coming weeks, it is very much appreciated.

The Masters next scheduled fixture is v the Pacific Islanders in Aldershot on the 13th November, a match that promises to be a physical encounter and is sure to be a highly entertaining spectacle.
